Original Item: Only One Available. Excellent example of a WWII German Luftwaffe Enlisted Man’s Fliegerbluse with yellow (flight) insignia, as worn by Aircrew and Fallschirmjagers. Jacket shows moderate wear throughout, with typical nap wear and a few small holes. The cuffs have been reinforced with strips of Luftwaffe blue wool material. There is some damage to the nape of the neck underneath the back of the collar. The jacket is fitted with a matching pair of original flight-piped (yellow) shoulder boards.  The yellow collar tabs are each fitted with an early style aluminum gull (denoting the rank of Private).

It is evident that the breast eagle on this tunic is the only one that has ever been machine sewn to the garment. Collar tabs are machine sewn to the collar, with no evidence of any other pair ever being sewn on.  Nicely marked within the interior lining is the maker name and metric size stamps.  An award loop, which is certainly period applied, is on the left chest fitted with a Black Wound Badge which is marked “L/56”. This is an excellent example perfect for a Luftwaffe Flight Crew or Paratrooper display!
